How to get more Google reviews for your clinic, without asking awkwardly

When someone searches for a clinic nearby, one of the first things they compare is reviews: how many, how recent, and what people say. Most happy patients never leave one. Not because they don't want to, but because nobody asked at the right moment, in an easy way.

The good news: getting reviews is a system, not luck. Here's the one we set up for clinics.

Why reviews matter more than your website

Patients often decide from the Google listing alone, before they ever open your website. A clinic with recent, detailed reviews feels safer than one with a few old ones, even if the care is the same. Regular reviews also show that your clinic is active.

A simple 4-step review system

  1. 1
    Pick the right moment.
Ask right after a good visit, when the patient says thank you. Not days later.
  2. 2
    Make it one tap.
Share a direct review link, or keep a QR card at the reception desk. Every extra step loses people.
  3. 3
Ask personally, in a short message.
A two-line WhatsApp from the clinic feels natural. A long form feels like work.
  4. 4
    Reply to every review.
Thank people by name. It shows new patients that real people run the clinic.

What to send on WhatsApp

Keep it short, warm and specific. Here's a message you can copy:

Copy this message
Quick winPut a small QR card at reception that opens your review page directly. Patients waiting to pay are the easiest to ask.

What not to do

Don't offer discounts or gifts in exchange for reviews, and don't write reviews yourself or ask staff to. Google's policies don't allow it, and those reviews can be removed. When you reply, never mention a patient's diagnosis or treatment, even if they did. Real, steady reviews from real patients always win.
